National Women’s Hall of Fame
Showcasing great women and inspiring all!
"We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men and women are created equal…" With these words a dream was given life in historic Seneca Falls, New York, the Birthplace of Women's Rights. In 1848, Elizabeth Cady Stanton (a Seneca Falls resident), Lucretia Mott and 300 other women and men held the first Women's Rights Convention in Seneca Falls. The Declaration of Sentiments, modeled after the Declaration of Independence, was presented and passed by the convention.
Today, the National Women's Hall of Fame pays tribute to some of the greatest women in the history of this country. The Hall's mission comes to life in a variety of ways while preserving its historical roots through the induction of great women into the Hall of Fame. The honored women are part of an esteemed group that grows with each Induction Ceremony as women continue to influence and shape the arts, athletics, business, education, government, humanities, philanthropy and science. The National Women's Hall of Fame is at a dynamic, evolutionary place in its history and you can celebrate the Hall's vision and its impact upon women's lives-past, present and future!
