Don’t be slow. Race your way to the Kate Gleason Auditorium in the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County for Omnipresent Puppet Theater’s presentation of the Tortoise and the Hare. People of all ages will enjoy this fun program, which starts promptly at 10:30 on Monday, August 1. Tired of being picked on by a pushy rabbit, the tortoise challenges him to a race. As he second-guesses this rash decision, Tortoise suddenly gets help from an unexpected teacher. Aesop’s fable is told with Omnipresent’s fast-paced comic style in this tale of hard work, perseverance, and standing up for yourself. For more information, please call the Children’s Center at 428-8150. The Central Library is accessible to people with disabilities. To request specific accommodations, call 585-428-8304 ten days prior to the program.
