Cuddle up with a dog and a good book! The Children’s Center of the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County is going to the dogs! Actually, the dogs are coming to the Children’s Center because they are hungry for books! Kids of all ages are invited to read a short book to these specially-trained and wonderful dogs. Research shows that the more time kids spend practicing reading aloud, the better readers they become. Since dogs are not judgmental about fluency in reading, they don’t worry if a child stumbles over a word. These Tail Waggin’ Tutors are ideal reading companions because they create a relaxed and comfortable environment. Kids can come any time between 11:00am and noon on Saturday, February 15, 2020. Kids can bring their own books or read one of ours. For more information, please call the Children's Center at 428-8150.
