As a high school art student, it can be hard to know how to channel your creative skills into a successful career. As a parent, the thought of "Art School" for your college-bound student may very well conjure up thoughts of under-employment and career insecurity. This talk will dispel these notions!
Our talk will focus on the students' creative skills and interests and help them discover many surprising (and lucrative) careers available to talented, creative people - like them! We'll also look at a range of college majors and programs needed to make it all happen. We'll discuss how to focus their existing portfolio and create a simple (and free) website to help them promote their work and apply to college design programs they'll love.
This is practical, actionable information to help high school art students and their parents make informed and confident decisions about an exciting creative future.
