Join us for songs, stories and toys! Every Tuesday at 10:00am, parents are invited to bring babies and toddlers to the Children’s Center of the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County to enjoy a variety of fun early literacy activities such as singing, rhyming, and playing with toys and other young children. While the children learn to play with each other, parents will have an opportunity to socialize. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays August 2, 9, and 16. Wee Read is intended for children 3 and under and is free and open to the public. This week’s Wee Read is entitled Sensory Play and we will explore our senses! We will share stories and songs before children and caregivers take turns visiting the sensory stations. We’ll have squishy spaghetti noodles, crinkly tissue paper, play dough, a ball pit and more! For more information, please call the Children’s Center at 428-8150. The Central Library is accessible to people with disabilities. To request specific accommodations, call 585-428-8304 ten days prior to the program.
