Genesee Riverway Trail
Mt. Hope Avenue and Ford Street, Rochester, New York 14604This spectacular trail is 24 miles long and can be picked up at several places. View the website online and use the “What’s Nearby” button to find a location near you. The trail is off-road and used for biking, walking or running—choose your form of exercise! The trail extends through the scenic cultural historic parts of Rochester and links nine historic districts with numerous landmarks. The trail runs on both sides of the river with way-finding and interpretive signs.

Ontario Beach Park
4800 Lake Ave., Rochester, New York 14613Plan to spend at least a half day of outdoor exercise and fun at Ontario Beach Park. Walk the boardwalk along Lake Ontario or to the end of the pier. Ride the carousel for just $1 or bring a Frisbee or ball and share in group exercise fun. Treat yourself to lunch or enjoy Abbott’s ice-cream right there at the park. If a picnic blanket or table suits you, bring your own lunch to enjoy after a day of walking and exercise. Weather permitting, take a dip in Lake Ontario!
